Polka Dot FAQs

  • We’re happy to offer BYOB so you can sip, paint, and enjoy your time with us!

    • A Polka Dot Employee will check ID.

    • Beer and unfortified wine only.

    • Guests must be 21+ to consume alcohol.

    • Please bring your own drinkware: pack in/pack out.

    • Polka Dot does not have the rights to sell, serve, pour, chill, store, or dispose of alcohol.

    • Unopened drinks and fully empty cans/bottles must leave with you.

    • Open containers with alcohol remaining may not leave the premises. Please finish your drink before leaving to comply with NC open container laws.

    • To comply with NC open container laws, any open drink must be fully finished before you leave. Unopened drinks and empty containers may go home with you.

    Please enjoy responsibly and be respectful of the guests around you :)

  • Your pottery will be ready for pickup in 4–7 days, guaranteed! We'll send you a text as soon as it's ready. Since our studio is small, we kindly ask that finished pottery be picked up within 30 days.

  • We do not take reservations for regular painting. Just walk in and grab a seat!

    Reservations are only available for private parties and booked events. Learn more about parties here!

  • Booking a party is easy! Simply give us a call at (910) 239-9249 or fill out the form on our Party Booking page. We'll help make your celebration extra special!

  • There is a $9 studio fee per painter, plus the cost of your pottery piece. Pottery prices range from small keepsakes to statement pieces, with most items falling between $8–$50.

  • We sell a range of snacks, candy, and drinks from soda to seltzer water.
    We kindly ask that guests purchase snacks and non-alcoholic beverages from our studio whenever possible.

    • Painting with babies & toddlers? We completely understand that you may need to bring your own snacks from home.

  • Yes! We have two high chairs and a baby-changing station.
